Steven McCaughey joined the CURA Management Committee in 2025 and has recently been appointed Chairperson.
Steven holds a Bachelor of Business (Management & Finance) and brings over 20 years of commercial and corporate finance experience, driving business growth and performance. As Managing Director of Financewest Solutions, Steven has expertise in strategic growth, governance, risk management, financial structuring, and stakeholder engagement.
Steven is well placed to contribute to CURA’s strong governance, ensuring the organisation continues to deliver high-quality, client-focused aged care services to the community.
Andrew McGregor is a career HR practitioner with more than thirty years’ experience across Australia and internationally, advising boards and leaders on governance, workforce compliance and organisational capability. He is Managing Director of MyHRPro (a HR consultancy in Perth) and is skilled in strategic HR, leadership development, diversity & inclusion, and industrial relations, across multiple industries and geographies.
He holds a Master of Sociology and a Bachelor of Arts (University of Tasmania) and is a Certified Professional Member of the Australian HR Institute (CAHRI) and an Associate Fellow of AIM WA (AFAIM). His focus as Deputy Chair is strengthening organisational governance and supporting staff capability to ensure Cura delivers safe, sustainable and high‑quality in‑home care.
Outside work Andrew enjoys sailing, keeping fit and the outdoors – he is based in Subiaco, WA.
Paul joined the CURA Management Committee in May 2019. He was appointed Deputy Chairperson in 2020 and Chairperson for the period 2021 to 2025.
Having retired from a long career in WA State and Local Governments, Paul, who holds a Bachelor of Business Degree in Accounting, is committed to leading and contributing to the CURA and its community through the use of his experience and knowledge in finance, governance, human resources, information technology, information management and strategic planning which he believe will assist the Committee and CURA to become an even stronger organisation.
Jerome, embarked on his career in the healthcare sector in 2004, as the IT manager for a pharmacy group. In 2010, Jerome founded his own IT company, specialising in supporting primary care and allied health providers, ensuring their IT enables compliance with health regulations, standards, and policies.
Jerome is the current Chair of the WA Branch of the Australian Computer Society (ACS). He also dedicates time to mentoring high school students through EdConnect and guiding emerging IT professionals within the ACS membership.
Sean has worked in a variety of human resources, employee relations and project management roles prior to starting his own consultancy in 2014. In 2020, Sean was admitted as a lawyer in Western Australia and now practice in employment law with a specialist Perth firm that has strong links to the WA Aged Care sector.
Sean and his wife care for two elderly parents with a third parent now in residential aged care and he is proud to support CURA’s committed team helping seniors living at home.
After training and working as a clinical Social Worker in Mental Health services, Jason has led change through a number of key leadership roles. Jason Ellis has extensive experience leading managing and implementing services across the CAMHS, Youth and Adult Mental Health service sector for government and non-government services over the past 29 years. Over the past 12 years Jason has held a number of Senior Management and Executive roles in EMHS, NMHS and Black Swan Health overseeing the implementation of Youth Axis, headspace Youth Early Psychosis Program, Youth Hospital in The Home service, Youth Community Assessment and Treatment Team, East Metropolitan Eating Disorders Specialist Services and the Active Recovery Team. As the Service Co-Director at East Metropolitan Health Service Mental Health, Jason plays a critical role in providing strategic and operational leadership for Mental Health Services across the Community, Inpatient and Specialised streams.
Jason has also held critical leadership and strategic roles as the Chair of the headspace Fremantle, Rockingham and Mandurah Clinical Reference Group, Deputy Chair of the WA Suicide Prevention Network governance committee; member of the Sustainable Health Review Clinical Reference Group, Eating Disorders Advisory Group, Youth Health Policy working group and Joondalup Wanneroo Mental Health SubNetwork. Jason is an Associate Fellow of the Australian College of Health Service Management, was the former Vice President of the WA branch committee of the Australian Association of Social Workers and is currently a member of the CURA In-Home Care Board. In 2026 Jason also completed the Australian Institute of Company Directors course.
Jason leads with integrity, collaboration and respect and is passionate about service and sector improvement, inclusive of those with a lived experience. He continues to be a champion for service improvement for Aboriginal, CaLD, LGBTIQ+ and other marginalised communities within EMHS and the broader health sector.
